I started this project because I wanted to develop something that could actually be useful to people, including myself. It is easy to get caught up in endless scrolling or jumping between half-finished ideas, but I wanted to anchor my attention to a single, meaningful goal.
There are times when the best way to handle a wandering mind is to give it a complex task to chew on. Keeping busy with a development project gave me a structured outlet for my energy. It required me to sit down, plan out features, and write code day after day, establishing a routine that I desperately needed.
Ironically, building a tool designed to help people concentrate forced me to confront my own daily struggles with staying on track. Every time I designed a new layout or tweaked the timer, I had to think about how easily distracted I get and what it takes to pull my attention back to the present moment.
Ultimately, this became a journey of trying to keep myself focused while creating a quiet space for others to do the same. It is an ongoing process of learning how to tune out the background noise, sit still, and just do the work.
